Our Why
Conventional synthetic clothing sheds microplastics that are absorbed into our bodies. Microplastics have been detected in every human organ tested, including the heart, liver, lungs, kidneys, uterus, and testes, impacting our hormones, reproductive system, mental health, and more.
The full extent and long-term implications of microplastic exposure remain largely unknown, reflecting a significant gap between widespread use and our understanding of its true impact on human health.
Our Planet, Our Home
Synthetic clothing production floods our planet with toxic chemicals, polluting waterways, homes, and entire ecosystems. These garments resist biodegradation, leaving a lasting burden on our beautiful planet, often piling up in landfills or as waste exported to developing nations.
The clothing industry’s reliance on synthetic materials and microplastics contributes significantly to global pollution, profoundly impacting environmental and human health worldwide.
How we started
True Nature garments are primarily crafted from natural materials, thoughtfully blended with minimal synthetics only when essential. For example, our BambooFlex includes Lycra for flexibility and structure.
Without it, the fabric sags and loses shape. The AquaLoom swimwear combines recycled fishing nets with bamboo liners, a necessary compromise for performance in water.
